Stand Up Tanning Beds
When you think of a tanning bed, what comes to your mind? A bed type tanning equipment that people can lay down
and make their skin bronze? While most of the tanning beds are real bed types, there is another type of tanning
beds known as stand up tanning beds. Stand up tanning beds are slowly gaining in popularity among tanning bed
users. As the same suggest, you stand up in these tanning 'beds'rather than lying down.
People often ask whether the stand up tanning beds are better than the conventional tanning beds. This is kind
of a hard question to answer, but anyway there are a few explanations available. Experts indicate some advantages
of the standup tanning beds as against the conventional type.
The first and foremost feature of standup tanning bed is that the user is able to stand up in the tanning
process. For some people, this can be considered as an advantage. For example, people with back problems who cannot
get up from a bed easily prefer to use standup tanning beds. In addition to that, stand up tanning beds are more
spacious than the horizontal counterpart. This offers users more freedom to move.
In traditional tanning beds, there are pressure points created in the tanning process. This has been addressed
in stand up tanning beds, so you do not get pressure points in the process. Pressure points can make the user
uncomfortable and sometimes physical damages to the skin of the pressure points could occur.
When it comes to tanning, all what matter is the quality and consistency. When comparing the two types of
tanning beds, stand up tanning beds are considered to provide high quality and more consistent (or even) tanning
across the body. The lamps and the reflector used in stand up tanning beds help spread the rays distribution more
evenly.
When it comes to bulbs, stand up tanning beds contain more powerful bulbs compared to the conventional type.
Usually the conventional type has 100W bulbs while the new type of vertical tanning beds has 160W bulbs. This only
gives the user stronger tan, but also saves a lot of time. Regularly, conventional bed type tanning may take up to
30 minutes depending on the bed type used and the quality and the power of the bulbs. When it comes to stand up
tanning beds, a tanning session lasts for no more than 10 minutes.
Personal hygiene is one of the main advantages of a stand up tanning bed. Since user is not required to touch
the surface of the bed, there is no or minimal interaction with the bed surface. But you do not have to be paranoid
when it comes to the traditional type as almost all saloons have strict disinfectant policies. In addition to that,
the UV rays produced by tanning bed can kill many gems as well. But, for 'clean freaks', stand up tanning beds
comes with peace of mind.
The only disadvantage of stand up tanning beds is that the user is required to stand up; that is only if you
prefer to lie down. On every other aspect, stand up tanning beds do a better job than conventional tanning
beds.
